    Take Kärcher, the worldwide frontrunner in cleaning technology, which teamed up with its longtime Google Cloud collaborator Zoi to pioneer Workspace Studio. Before this, the company’s digital team slogged through evaluating fresh feature concepts via disjointed methods, including endless meetings and disorganized notes that were tough to follow up on.

    By introducing a squad of virtual agents crafted in Studio, Kärcher streamlined everything. Now, when someone floats a new feature idea in Chat, one agent evaluates its potential in a brainstorming session, another checks if it’s technically viable, a third outlines a user experience pathway, and a capstone agent compiles a full user story for review, drawing from the prior analyses. This setup has slashed their preparation time by 90 percent, condensing what used to take hours of hands-on work into a polished proposal in mere minutes.

    Participants in Google’s Gemini Alpha initiative for Workspace are already putting Studio to work, with these agents assisting on over 20 million tasks during the last month alone. That includes routine automations like generating status updates and tailoring reminders, as well as vital operations such as sifting through legal alerts and coordinating travel arrangements.

    The beauty of these agents, whether they involve a couple of steps or a couple dozen, lies in their creation by the very folks who face the daily hurdles—no coding expertise required. Users can kick things off with a ready-made template or just describe the desired automation in everyday language, and Gemini 1.5 steps in to build it. For instance, someone might say, “If an email has a question aimed at me, tag it as ‘To respond’ and notify me in Chat.”
