Creating an automation is simpler. Users only need to describe their task, attach relevant files, select specific connectors and skills, then save it. This setup enables each execution to use up-to-date information while adhering to the initial set of instructions.
The scheduling options are flexible, allowing tasks to be set for one-time, daily, weekly, monthly, or even yearly execution, tailored to the user’s preferred timezone. For instance, a user could opt for a morning briefing at 8:00 AM or a rental reminder at the beginning of each month.
Additionally, automations can be triggered by incoming emails. When an email matches certain criteria—like sender or subject—Grok activates the automation using that email as a context for action. Users can define instructions that directly reference specific tools, enhancing productivity by integrating various applications seamlessly.
After configuring an automation, users can manually initiate it for immediate testing using a quick ‘Run now’ option. This allows them to verify functionality right after setting it up.
Every time an automation executes, Grok documents the process in a run history. Users can access previously executed tasks to review details and continue the conversation from where Grok left off. The results can be reported back through email, app notifications, or can be checked by the user at their convenience.
