Anthropic is launching a Claude plugin designed for nonprofit organizations, with tools for fundraising, staff operations, and setting up AI in line with an organization’s policies. The company says it developed the plugin with about 30 nonprofits and is also planning to expand its Claude Corps fellowship program through a partnership with Taproot Foundation.
The launch builds on Claude for Nonprofits, introduced last December with discounts of up to 75%, integrations with Blackbaud, Candid, and Benevity, and a free AI training course created with GivingTuesday. More than 25,000 nonprofits now use Claude, Anthropic says. More than three-quarters of those organizations have fewer than 10 Claude seats, making smaller teams a central audience for the new tools.

Anthropic says it has expanded nonprofit plans to include the same models available on its standard Team and Enterprise plans, lowered the Team plan minimum to two people, and added Claude Code at no extra cost. It also offers verified nonprofits in low- and middle-income countries a discount of about 90%, bringing standard Team seats to $3 per user each month.
But affordability is only part of the challenge, the company says. Nonprofits have also told Anthropic they lack staff with the skills to use AI effectively and tools tailored to the way their organizations work.
Claude Corps is intended to help with the first problem. The program is placing 1,000 early-career fellows at at least 400 US nonprofits, where they will work with staff to build with Claude. Anthropic says host organizations range from food banks and art museums to veteran support groups. Its planned partnership with Taproot would connect nonprofits with experienced consultants for shorter, project-based work.
The new plugin addresses the second challenge with skills and connectors shaped by feedback from the Design Partner Circle, a group of roughly 30 organizations working in areas including education, health, economic mobility, and humanitarian response. Nonprofit staff tested early versions on real assignments this fall, Anthropic says, and helped refine the tools.
One set of features is aimed at stretching small teams. Claude can help plan marketing campaigns around available staff time, draft content in an organization’s voice, and review materials before publication. It can also assist with hiring, from writing job listings and interview rubrics to planning a new employee’s first 90 days, and help prepare board orientations and meeting materials.
Another set of tools helps organizations give Claude useful context and set boundaries for its use. The plugin can map where an organization keeps records such as donor data, grant files, financial information, and policies. With memory enabled, Claude can save that map for each user and use it to locate relevant information in later tasks. Staff can also ask whether a particular use of Claude is allowed under their organization’s AI policy.
The plugin’s fundraising tools cover work from prospect research to donor follow-up. Claude can find potential funders and open grants with cited sources, assess an opportunity’s eligibility requirements, and turn a request for proposals into a checklist and an initial draft based on an organization’s own materials. It can also help prepare for funder calls, draft thank-you notes and donor updates, and suggest plans for reconnecting with supporters.
Anthropic says the fundraising features are designed to reduce research and paperwork, leaving nonprofit staff more time for relationship-building and decisions about which opportunities to pursue. The company is also offering live training sessions for administrators and staff on data handling, AI policies, and getting started with Claude.
