Bubble Group Inc., a leader in artificial intelligence-driven visual development platforms, has unveiled its latest product, Bubble AI Agent. This innovative tool enables users to create production-grade applications by either dragging and dropping components in the platform’s intuitive editor or by engaging in conversational modifications.
Designed to mitigate common challenges faced by developers when using AI coding tools for critical applications, Bubble AI Agent aims to address concerns over editability, code quality, and security. A recent survey conducted among Bubble users revealed that a mere 9% use AI coding tools for business-essential applications, while a striking 72% expressed worries about security flaws inherent in AI-generated code.
The new product combines the efficiency of AI-assisted development with the meticulousness of visual editing, ensuring users benefit from both speed and precision. “Developers demand the rapidity of AI code generation, but they cannot afford to compromise on the quality and security of their applications,” stated Emmanuel Straschnov, co-CEO of Bubble. “Bubble AI Agent provides the best of both worlds.”
With Bubble AI Agent, users can develop applications using two complementary methods: the traditional visual editor allows for complete control over design and functionality, while the conversational editing feature utilizes natural language prompts for ease of use. This dual approach enables users to toggle between modes, maintaining visibility and oversight of their projects.
To commemorate the product launch, Bubble has announced an AI hackathon in collaboration with Anthropic PBC, offering $25,000 in prizes. This event encourages developers to explore Bubble AI Agent’s capabilities and demonstrate applications that integrate AI prompting with visual editing.
Additionally, Bubble has announced several forthcoming features, including an enhanced Property Editor expected later this year that will incorporate advanced design tools and integrated AI capabilities. The platform will also soon support in-app purchases for mobile applications and will incorporate the Bubble Security Dashboard directly into its interface.
Bubble has successfully raised $106 million in funding over two rounds, including a significant $100 million infusion in July 2021. The company’s investors comprise notable firms such as Insight Partners LP, SignalFire, Box Group, Third Kind Venture Capital, and Neo Ventures.
