Accenture and Anthropic Form Business Group to Scale Claude AI in Enterprises

Accenture and Anthropic have unveiled an expanded collaboration aimed at guiding businesses in transitioning AI experiments into widespread operational use. The partnership introduces the Accenture Anthropic Business Group, positioning Anthropic as a key strategic ally with a specialized unit centered on the Claude AI models.

Under this initiative, around 30,000 Accenture staff members will undergo training in Claude, establishing what the companies describe as one of the biggest networks of experts in the technology globally. Accenture is also stepping up as a leading partner for AI-assisted coding through Claude Code, which commands more than 50% of the market in that area according to a recent report. This tool will reach tens of thousands of Accenture’s software developers.

The duo is rolling out a fresh joint solution to assist chief information officers in assessing the benefits of AI and integrating it across their technical teams. Early efforts will target sectors with stringent rules, such as banking, pharmaceuticals, medicine, and government services, where data protection and oversight are paramount.

Anthropic’s portion of the business AI sector has risen from 24% to 40% in recent times, based on findings from Menlo Ventures’ 2025 State of Generative AI in the Enterprise report.

Dario Amodei, chief executive and co-founder of Anthropic, highlighted the transformative potential of the alliance. He noted that artificial intelligence is reshaping workflows everywhere and that companies require advanced tools alongside reliable guidance for broad implementation. Amodei emphasized Accenture’s strengths in business overhaul paired with Anthropic’s top-tier models, pointing out that thousands of Accenture coders will now employ Claude Code, marking their most significant rollout yet. The new business group, he added, will enable corporate users to leverage sophisticated AI for substantial efficiency improvements.

Julie Sweet, Accenture’s chair and chief executive, described the deepened ties as a boost for clients eager to evolve AI trials into drivers of comprehensive change. She stressed the synergy of Anthropic’s Claude features with Accenture’s knowledge in AI, sectors, and operations, allowing firms to incorporate AI responsibly and swiftly in areas like programming and client interactions. This approach, Sweet said, fosters creativity, opens revenue streams, and equips leaders for the AI era.

The Accenture Anthropic Business Group represents a focused effort within Accenture’s framework of vital tech alliances, complete with its own personnel, marketing strategies, and niche skills that underscore a serious, enduring pledge. Training extends to frontline engineers who assist in weaving Claude into customer setups to expand AI usage enterprise-wide. These groups blend Accenture’s proficiencies in AI, industries, and roles with ties to major cloud platforms, alongside Anthropic’s Claude systems, coding aids, and established methods for controlled fields.

For business clients, the setup promises quicker rollout with reduced hazards, letting organizations draw on an established pool of Claude specialists to leap from testing to live operations without starting over.

The inaugural product from the collaboration targets IT leaders, offering a clear roadmap to evaluate gains and propel major AI uptake in development squads. It centers Claude Code in the full cycle of software creation and upkeep, incorporating Accenture’s tools for measuring output boosts and returns on investment, revamping processes for AI-led teams, and ongoing support and education to match AI’s progress. Such measures can convert coder efficiencies into broader advantages, speeding up launches, trimming timelines, and hastening product introductions.

Claude Code enhances performance at all developer tiers, enabling novices to craft advanced code more rapidly, handle connections efficiently, and ramp up in weeks rather than months. Experienced staff can then focus on elevated tasks like design, review, and planning.

Joint development of sector-specific AI applications starts with oversight-heavy areas like finance, biotech, health care, and public administration, tackling updates to old infrastructure amid tight safety and rule adherence. In banking and insurance, for instance, Claude’s handling of extensive intricate files merges with Accenture’s compliance know-how to automate oversight routines and support prompt, accurate choices in demanding settings. For biotech and health research, Accenture’s R&D insights plus Claude’s data analysis aid in scanning internal records, crafting test procedures, and optimizing trial management. In government, AI helpers guide public access to intricate services, delivering precise aid while upholding privacy and legal standards.

The collaboration rests on mutual dedication to ethical AI practices, fusing Anthropic’s foundational AI guidelines with Accenture’s control mechanisms to ensure safe, open, and answerable AI application in businesses.

To foster direct involvement with top global firms, Accenture plans to integrate Claude into its Innovation Hubs network, which acts as secure spaces for collaborative AI development. These centers let Fortune 2000 companies trial, evaluate, and confirm solutions in safeguarded settings prior to full rollout, easing a major obstacle to large-scale AI: the demand for low-risk learning without endangering live operations or confidential information.

Further, the partners will jointly fund a Claude Center of Excellence at Accenture, forming a specialized space for crafting bespoke AI solutions suited to unique business demands, sector needs, and compliance landscapes.

Accenture customers may reach out to their account managers for rollout discussions. Interested businesses can explore Claude options on Anthropic’s enterprise page. Claude stands as the sole leading-edge model accessible across the three dominant cloud platforms: Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure.
