Plaud has unveiled its latest AI-enabled wearable device, the Plaud One, designed to record, transcribe, and summarize conversations. Unlike traditional recording devices, this new gadget resembles earbuds, making it both portable and accessible. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be used as standard earbuds or operated through its standalone charging case, which is equipped with built-in 4G connectivity to facilitate uploading and processing of conversations without needing a smartphone or Wi-Fi.
The earbuds come with 16MB of internal storage each, offering a total of 32MB, and feature three microphones capable of recording from distances of up to two meters. According to Plaud, the earbuds can record continuously for up to six hours, which matches their estimated maximum battery life. They also incorporate noise cancellation technology and operate via force-activated sensors on the stems. The charging case is equipped with four additional microphones that can capture sound from up to five meters away, a built-in speaker, and has 512MB of storage, providing a total battery life of up to 36 hours when fully charged via USB-C.
Using Plaud Intelligence, the device’s AI works to transcribe and summarize conversations by comprehending user intentions. An AI button on the charging case activates “Plaud Agent,” which seamlessly integrates with various applications, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack, allowing users to streamline their tasks without shifting between different platforms.
The Plaud One is priced at $249.99 and is now available for preorder in select markets, with shipping anticipated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026. Initially, Plaud indicated that shipping would begin in late September; however, they have revised this estimate to reflect a later timeframe.
